Some agencies ask newcomers to pay a high amount of fees as registration. Actual and Real agencies are very selective, because they invest their own time, money and resources into models to earn a commission in return only if you land the job with the right brand. The right agency provides their models all of their necessary things. Their travel expenses, accommodation and other expenses regarding their work.

2. Guaranteed Work – The modelling industry never promises the job because it totally depends on the model and the brand, about what kind of model they want or are searching. Every other fashion brand look for a specific kind of features or beauty like or sometimes even a weird beauty catches their attention. Body language and Confidence of models plays a important role here. Brands often look for those models who are easy and comfortable to work with. If any agency uses this phrase of guaranteed work, then know they are lying.

3. Fake Casting Calls and Auditions –  Fake Casting usually starts with attractive advertisements on social media promising easy selections. The person claims to be a casting agent and might ask for personal details. They will lure you into modelling auditions and ask you to even meet in a specific locations, claiming for auditions which in turn turns out to be harmful and deceiving.

4. Placement Abroad Scams – Placement abroad or International Placements is a dream come true. It came with a excitement of travelling to new countries by tricking the new comer models which puts their safety at risk. These scammers will ask you for registration fees or visa expenses, but in reality no agency will ask you for money in exchange of placement in abroad as their model.

5. Social Media Scams – Fraudsters often use social media to trap people with fake so called audition posts. They contact aspiring artists, offer easy selection and then ask for money, personal details and sometimes even inappropriate or private pictures. Real casting processes are generally professional and transparent. Always search the company, their reviews, their previous works and more before joining it.
